New Delhi/Nashik: In a major development in the ongoing TCS Nashik conversion and harassment case, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has suspended employee Nida Khan, who is among the key accused facing serious allegations including forced religious conversion and sexual harassment.
According to documents accessed by media, Khan was placed under suspension last week after the company cited a “serious matter” linked to the ongoing police investigation. The suspension order was issued on April 9, shortly after authorities took cognisance of the case.
What the Suspension Letter Says
The official communication sent to Nida Khan stated that she was being suspended with immediate effect as she is currently unable to perform her duties due to her involvement in the case. The company also revoked her access to internal systems and directed her to surrender all company assets.
Additionally, she has been instructed not to visit any office premises or communicate with colleagues regarding the matter, while maintaining strict confidentiality during the investigation.
Serious Allegations in TCS Nashik Case
The case revolves around multiple complaints filed by women employees at the Nashik unit of TCS. The complainants have alleged sexual misconduct, mental harassment, and pressure to convert religion by certain colleagues.
Police investigations suggest that the incidents took place over several years, between 2022 and early 2026. Authorities have registered multiple FIRs, and at least seven employees have been arrested so far in connection with the case.
In one of the complaints, a woman alleged that a colleague established a relationship with her on the false promise of marriage. It was further claimed that Nida Khan and others were aware of the deception and attempted to influence the victim’s religious beliefs.
More Victims Come Forward
As the investigation progressed, more women employees approached the police with similar allegations of harassment and workplace misconduct. Some complaints also pointed towards alleged inaction by the human resources department despite repeated reports.
Company’s Response
TCS has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion. The company confirmed that all employees linked to the case have been suspended pending investigation and that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies.
Current Status of the Accused
Nida Khan, who joined the company in 2021, has reportedly approached a local court seeking anticipatory bail. Her family has stated that she is currently in Mumbai and expecting her first child, a factor that may be considered in her bail plea.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues to probe the case, which has triggered a wider debate around workplace safety, corporate accountability, and religious coercion in India’s IT sector.
